OUR BEGINNING
Palermo gave us our roots. Los Gatos gave us a home.
We’re Marco and Giacomo Montevago, two brothers from Palermo, Sicily, and the founders and owners of Italian Brothers. Food has always been part of how we bring people together. Here in California, it became the beginning of something we could build as a family.
Marco’s American journey began in 2015 at Paesano Restaurant. In 2016, he headed to Las Vegas to work at Spaghetty Western, then moved to Morgan Hill in 2017 to work at Toto Trattoria. Those years led him toward a dream of his own: a place to share the food and hospitality he had grown up with.
In 2018, that personal journey became a family venture. Our family joined us as we opened Italian Brothers Bakery in San Jose. Together, we put our hearts and hard work into building something of our own.
In 2020, we took the next step and opened Italian Brothers Restaurant in Los Gatos, in the middle of the pandemic. Our family helped bring it to life; the people who chose our table helped it become a home. That’s the story we’re proud to keep sharing with you.

In July 2026, our family story welcomed a new chapter: our cousins Ninni and Milena joined us in Los Gatos, bringing their family along. For us, there’s something special about sharing what we’ve built with people who share our roots.
After working in Italy and running a restaurant in Las Vegas for 15 years, they know how much a warm welcome matters. Today, they bring that experience—and their own family spirit—to Italian Brothers. Come meet them, settle in, and make yourself at home.

Marco stays closely involved in Italian Brothers and is your personal contact for catering. From a family celebration to a company gathering, tell him what you have in mind. He’ll help you choose the menu and plan the service, bringing a little of our Italian hospitality to your occasion.
